Last long run before Ogden. If I'm not ready now, I'm not gonna be. I ate a PBJ and ran my regular MWF 7-mile loop with Randy then did another 7-miles stopping back at the house in between for gel and Gatorade. The last 6 mile loop was the roughest, of course, but I was able to hold on to my marathon goal pace. I know you're supposed to do your long runs a bit slower than race pace, but I figured this was the only way I was going to have the confidence to believe that I can hold this pace for the distance.

I used Cliff Shots instead of GU and didn't have the stomach pains that I had previously, so that is good. Plus, that is the brand they will be handing out during the race.

Impressive run. The fact that you were able to hold that pace for 20 mi in a training context leads me to believe that your goal pace is very conservative. Enjoy the taper.
