| | Boise, ID 9am Pace: 7:56 Haven't blogged the runs for a while. I was going to run ten this morning, but on my way up Joplin I was going up the hill and a truck was making one of those wide turns that hogs up the whole road. I moved over to the shoulder and whacked my foot on a traffic pylon and started bleeding. So I ran straight home. Because I'm a wus.

| | Greensboro, NC 7pm Pace: 7:33 Travel day yesterday and was sleepy this morning, so I ran tonight. I went down the Bicentenial trail. I forgot my ipod, so I ran with my thoughts -- and the thunder. It got a little scary when the lightning got close, but It was nice. I decided to run harder this time. I pushed it pretty well on a hilly course.

| | Greensboro, NC 6pm Pace: 8:08 Remember that scene in the movie Glory where they are on a boat down to Mississippi and Denzel says "I forgot how hot it is down here." Well, that's how I felt tonight. I ran through the Guilford Courthouse Battlefield. It is a Revolutionary War battlefield. Very pretty, but the weather was so hot, even in the shade, so I didn't run too far.

| | Charlotte, NC 7pm Pace: 7:47 I left Greensboro and stopped by the Old Man's place to visit with him for a few minutes. Then I drove down to Charlotte and stopped by UNC-Charlotte to a pathway I saw on Google. It was nice, mostly tree-covered and small rolling hills. The heat wasn't near as bad as it was the other night.
